Father Furious After Finding Out What Judge Did For Mother Who Severely Abused 8 Month Old

Wow.

An Australian woman wasn’t sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to the aggravated assault of her own eight-month-old daughter.

The father of the child has expressed his outrage towards the justice system, saying that she committed this assault on her own child out of jealousy that he was in a new relationship.

Lorien Norman, 26, called the police last October threating to throw the infant off the balcony of her apartment.

When the officers rushed to the unit they found the baby had bruises all over her face and body. When questioned, Lorien originally lied saying that Evie had fallen down at the playground.

The baby was rushed to the hospital where a pediatrician came to the conclusion that Evie had been physically assaulted by being struck in the face repeatedly, at least eight times on the face and body.

“In the DPP’s submission the injuries were caused by reason of a sustained and deliberate assault by you upon your daughter which involved multiple blows, at least one of which was with a slotted spoon to your daughter’s face and that this indicated more than a momentary loss of control on your part,” Judge Jack Costello said in his statement.

At that point, Lorien pleaded guilty to the aggravated assault, which usually merits a maximum jail term of 13 years.

When given his final sentencing, the judge recognized her history of drug and alcohol abuse, but then also fallen for her “taking steps to turn her life around” story.

“Whilst any assault of a child, particularly one of such a tender age and vulnerability, by a parent stands as a gross breach of trust, your offending is nevertheless far from the most serious of offending of this type in terms of the degree of force involved and the duration of the offending,” Costello said.

Because of that, he decided to give her a reduced sentence only one year and nine months.

But, when she agreed to pay a $400usd fine, he fully suspended the entire sentence on the promise of “good behavior” for two years.

The father was obviously furious by the court’s ridiculous decision.

“Where is the justice for Evie, it’s absolutely disgraceful,” he told media outlets.

“She has gone and bashed my child and threatened to kill her. It’s just gut-wrenching.”

He observed that this attack came just after she had found out he was in a new relationship, so he views this as her sick and twisted way of trying to get back at him.

He also claims she deliberately did this on the anniversary of the day of his father’s death from cancer, which he said she knew weighed heavily on him.

“She knew that I had gotten a new partner, she knew that it was my dad’s anniversary, and she did that to Evie,” he said.

Luckily for the kids, he has full custody of both of the children they share, so they hopefully won’t ever be subjugated to this sort of treatment in the future from this mentally ill woman.
