Fredrick ReginaldLook, I’m not a hater. I really can’t hate Kanye West. He makes some damn good music (and I’ll admit, I listen to it on a regular basis), but I knew this was coming.
Hell, even the most die-hard Kanye West fans must have seen this coming. Well, it finally happened.
According to TMZ.com:
Kanye West has been taken to UCLA Medical Center for evaluation.
According to law enforcement sources … cops responded to a call for a welfare check on Kanye around 1:20 PM PT. He wasn’t at his home at the time. We’re told paramedics also responded and ended up transporting Kanye to the hospital by ambulance.
Sources connected to Kanye tell us he was getting checked out by one of his doctors for severe sleep deprivation when someone — possibly the physician — decided he needed to be admitted.
Law enforcement sources tell us Kanye did not want to go, and was restrained when he was transported.
The hospitalization comes on the heels of Kanye abruptly cancelling the remainder of his Saint Pablo Tour, and launching into a verbal attack on Jay Z and Beyonce.
Sky News took things even futher, claiming that, “Kanye West has reportedly been taken to hospital for psychiatric evaluation.”
If he really is in the hospital for ‘psychiatric evaluation’ I think it’s safe to say that nobody is surpised. As a matter of fact, I’d say it was expected.
Reports are still early so it’s hard to gauge how bad of a condition Kanye is really in, but damn, let’s just hope this isn’t the end of his musical career.
Of course, on the other hand, given Kanye’s and Kim’s popularity it wouldn’t surprise me one damn bit if this was all just some elaborate scheme to get attention.
