SJW Group Complains That Wonder Woman “Was a Success for Everyone, Except…”

Ridiculous.

Wonder Woman is under attack once again, but not by evil supervillains, by something much worse… social justice warriors.

Background:

The film Wonder Woman was fantastic, and its quality has been reflected in the box office when it racked up $200 million worldwide on its first weekend. Gal Gadot did a fantastic job portraying the long-loved Amazonian goddess, the director, Patty Jenkins, was phenomenal, and feminists should have taken this as the win that it was.

But, back in June, there was a complaint from these snowflakes that Wonder Woman, a film featuring a strong female character that was so well done that it was even well received by Marvel fans, wasn’t catering enough to the feminist movement.

The film is “just a white feminist victory — barely. For black feminists, it’s exactly like every other superhero movie, just with a white female lead” according to an article published in Bustle.

In the article, she wrote, “By my count, there were four lines spoken by black women in the entire two-and-a-half-hour runtime of Wonder Woman — and one of those lines was just the repetition of “Diana!” by her black caretaker. In fact, all of those lines were spoken by black Amazons who were, of course, subservient to Diana and her all-white ruling family.

And, in the previous article I wrote, I joked: “You know what’s going to happen if they make

“You know what’s going to happen if they make film with a strong black female character and more black people in a crowd, right? We’ll hear from another more specific group demanding answers to why they aren’t being represented. For example, they may ask why there aren’t black trans women being represented…”

Well, I got pretty damn close.

What’s Happening Now:

There’s a new set of complainers in town, and they’re demanding for the new Wonder Woman to have… different tastes.

A Change.org petition insists that Wonder Woman “was a success for everyone… except the bisexual community.”

“The likelihood of Wonder Woman being bisexual has been alluded to over the years, primarily in comics,” Gianna Collier-Pitts of GLAAD, a GLBT advocacy organization wrote. “Wonder Woman’s Diana Prince hails from Themyscira, land of the Amazons and inhabited exclusively by women. This alone should serve as reason enough to confirm her sexuality, since any close relationship she could have had prior to her romantic storyline with Steve Trevor would have had to have been with another woman.”

One DC writer seemed to affirm that at one point, saying “Diana has been in love and had relationships with other women.”

(Although, it is worth pointing out, that this writer was only working with Wonder Woman for a few years of her 70+ years existence.)

“The majority of the LGBTQ+ community identifies as bisexual or as having attraction to more than one gender, and yet it is the least understood of any identity. We are oversexualized and underrepresented,” Gianna Collier-Pitts claims. “We are called greedy, dishonest, and confused. We are the least likely to come out and the most likely to suffer from depression and anxiety, on top of experiencing higher rates of sexual/intimate partner violence.”

“Making Wonder Woman canonically bisexual on the big screen would make her the first openly LGBTQ superhero of any gender from either DC or Marvel’s cinematic universes, and would solidify her place as a true role model for women of all ages and identities,” she continues.

“All I ask is that Warner Bros. directly acknowledge Diana Prince for who she is, who she has always been (regardless of her current love interest), and what her character could potentially represent for millions of people,” she says.

This comes after the SJW attempt in May to #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend, a petition to movie producers asking them to make Frozen character Elsa a lesbian, or the time they begged studios to make James Bond gay.

When you pander to SJW groups, they’re never satisfied. They’ll still eat you alive for not going one step further into their madness.
