The founders of Everyday Feminism, a radical feminist website, have started begging for money on Twitter because they say they’re hitting financial hardships and won’t be able to continue operating unless people give them their hard earned cash.
They have created something they are calling their “Emergency May Booster Fund” so that they can survive “scary financial trouble that’s threatening to put a halt to our work — maybe even as soon as the end of May.”
But what’s really important is this link right here – you can help #SaveEF by donating there. https://t.co/cdnMQTSJaZ

In other words, their work doesn’t generate enough value for people to be willing to pay for it, so now they’re begging… in a GIF thread.
It was full of BS like this:
We’ve been getting so many messages from people about what this work means in their lives. For their healing, activism, communities. pic.twitter.com/gbAuuJxa4Z

Yeah, funny thing is, those people aren’t giving you money because these are people sitting around on the internet all day bitching about the patriarchy.
You know, kinda the same situation you’re in right now.
They kept going on and on about how they were relevant, saying “It’s quite a challenge, to say the least, to create independent, intersectional feminist media in a financially sustainable way, especially in a world that doesn’t value what we do.”
They even tried to create a hashtag so people could enable their madness, #SaveEF:
And join the #SaveEF conversation by tweeting “#SaveEF because…” With this link: https://t.co/W2EIkvLlSX Tell your friends! pic.twitter.com/U09uSIeRfZ

Some tweeted in support:
We need to #saveEF because we NEED sites like this to help educate the population and help dismantle the harmful effect of the patriarchy.

Buuuuuut, as expected, a lot of sane people tweeted too:
#SaveEF because they taught me important life lessons like repressing my sexuality if it makes others uncomfortable. pic.twitter.com/c7N8h2z0aB

Truly we should #SaveEF. Where else would we get important, useful, relevant gems like this? pic.twitter.com/TzAlosAZ6B

Don’t #saveef because lesbians don’t need a dude in winged eyeliner telling them their sexual orientation is bigoted and transphobic.

Saving EF would be functionally similar to saving mosquitoes. They’re shrill, annoying, and accomplishing nothing useful. #SaveEF

#saveef resists capitalism so much that can’t earn any money. Try asking your Marxists to evenly distribute their wealth.

Can confirm, Melissa Fabello of Everyday Feminism is a white supremacist 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻#SaveEF pic.twitter.com/mFA8x9rbXZ

— Diane Tavarez Strain (@TAVSTRA) May 14, 2017
@_MarkingBad_ #SaveEF because they only want to spout their bullshit if they’re making money off it. They can’t get normal jobs and run it on the side

@voxday “Save our feminist magazine bc no one reads us & we’ll go bankrupt due to capitalistic & sexist institutions of oppression” #SaveEF

Does anyone actually donate to this kinda crap? I’m pretty sure they probably got about enough to buy themselves a round of overpriced Starbucks coffees…
